Please read these terms carefully. They explain the educational nature of this clinical reference app operated by Dr D Better Life Private Limited.
Important — not a medical device
Dr D Emergency Toolkit is an educational and professional reference application for emergency-medicine clinicians, trainees and allied healthcare staff. It provides emergency protocols, drug-reference notes, infusion and paediatric dose-calculation support, clinical scores, toxicology guidance, ECG/imaging learning material, triage aids and the Code cockpits.
This app is NOT a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not provide medical advice for any individual patient. Every dose, protocol, score and calculation must be independently verified against your local hospital policy, current national guidelines, the product literature, pharmacy advice, senior clinical judgement and patient-specific factors before being used in real patient care.
Agreement
These Terms & Conditions are a binding agreement between you and Dr D Better Life Private Limited, the operator of the Dr D Emergency Toolkit ("Dr D", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, tapping "I Agree", or otherwise using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Educational & decision-support purpose only
All content — protocols, calculators, the Score Library, toxicology and drug reference, imaging libraries and the Code Blue / Code Trauma cockpits — are training and quick-reference aids only.
- Content never replaces your own clinical judgement, supervision, or your institution’s approved protocols.
- Always confirm drug doses, thresholds, contraindications and pathways against local guidelines and primary sources before acting.
- In an emergency, follow your institution’s resuscitation protocols and senior clinical advice — never delay care to complete any tool in this app.
- You remain solely and fully responsible for every clinical decision you make.
Who may use the app
The app is intended for qualified healthcare professionals and healthcare students who are able to interpret clinical information in context. You must be able to form a binding contract. Keep your login credentials confidential; there is one account per person, and you are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
No patient-identifiable data
Do not enter patient names, hospital numbers, dates of birth or any other patient-identifiable information into any field, calculator, timeline or note in this app. Use anonymous case labels only. You are responsible for complying with your local confidentiality, data-protection and information-governance obligations when using the app at work.
Access, billing & payment
Emergency Code cockpits and core safety tools are free. Premium tools and content require a paid plan, shown in your local currency before payment.
- One-time payment: you pay ONCE for the plan you choose (e.g. 1 / 3 / 12 months). There is NO subscription and NO auto-renewal — access simply runs to the end of the period you paid for, and you can buy again whenever you want to continue.
- Your card is not stored: a single payment is collected securely by our third-party payment processor — we do not see or store your full card details, and nothing is charged again automatically.
- Price changes: we may change prices and offers; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
Refunds & cancellation
Because payments are one-time and there is no auto-renewal, there is no recurring subscription to cancel. Eligible refunds (for example a payment charged in error or premium access not activated) are handled through our payment processor — see our separate Refund & Cancellation policy for full details. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell or transfer your account or subscription, or use one account for a group.
- Copy, scrape, screenshot for redistribution, republish or otherwise exploit the protocols, scores, explanations or other content.
- Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to bypass access controls or security.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing or patient-identifiable content, or anything that breaches medical confidentiality.
- Rely on the app as the sole basis for any clinical action.
Intellectual property
Dr D Emergency Toolkit, its name, logo, original content, calculators and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Our tools are original works aligned to public, high-level clinical principles and do not reproduce third-party proprietary manuals, copyrighted tables or protected marks. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own professional learning and reference only.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that content is error-free, complete, current or fit for any particular clinical purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted. Medicine evolves and local practice varies — always verify before relying on any item.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dr D and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any clinical outcome, injury or loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable).
Suspension & termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, unlawful use, or to protect users. On termination your licence ends; provisions that by nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) continue to apply.
Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of India, subject to the mandatory consumer protections of your country. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes in-app; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions?
